Mission
Our mission is to create independence and a lifelong love of learning in our children by delivering excellent Montessori programmes in a high quality environment.
Enviroschools
Montessori Children’s House Wānaka is an Enviroschool currently on our journey to Green/Gold status, having achieved Bronze and Silver.
This is a national programme about the well-being of the whole centre, community and eco-system. Our tamariki are learning to respect and value the natural environment, save energy and water, recycle and compost, grow their own food and understand the connections between their actions and the future of the planet. Enviroschools is grounded in a collaborative approach with respect for diversity, essential for the creation of a healthy and sustainable community.
